Rolf Pfeifer is a “Visiting Chair Professor”at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a scientificcoordinator at “Living with Robot”. Moreover, he is co-founder of the National Robotics Centerin Switzerland. He is a pioneer of the rapidly growing fields of “embodied intelligence” and “softrobotics”, which have already had a decisive impact on the fields of artificial intelligence androbotics. His book “How the body shapes the way we think – a new view of intelligence” hasbeen published in English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French. He developed the humanoidrobot “Roboy”, which has attracted worldwide media attention, and he is presently pursuing the “ROBOLOUNGE” project, where robots will take care of the well-being of the customers.
