JINDONG TAN

Now teaching at Michigan Technological University, Professor JINDONG TAN is a Chinese scholar awarded with the title of Prominent Teacher. Professor JINDONG TAN and his team works on mobile sensor network, biosensor networks, intelligent camera sensor network, robotics and intelligent control. In recent years, they have completed more than a dozen of research projects assigned by research institutions including National Science Foundation of the United States, National Sanitation Foundation of the United States, United States Department of Defense, and the project capital are worth more than 2 million dollars over the past five years. The funds are provided by National Science Foundation of the United States, Defense Research Agency and National Institute of Medical Research respectively. The applicant has published over 80 papers on domestic and international academic journals and conferences, among which 40-plus papers are included in SCI and EI, 2 papers are in the form of monograph and these academic papers are widely referred to by other researchers. The applicant, who was granted one American invention patent which was bought by the related entity, has undertaken several projects under the National Science Foundation of the United States and K.C. Wong Scientific Research Award of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
