LI Hongyi received his doctor's degree from Harvard University, Massachusetts, US. Hehad been a researcher in Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciencesbefore he started his own business in robotics. He masters the core robotic technologies, i.e.the speed reducers and controllers, and holds more than 70 patents. His technologies wereapplied in the Aolong-1, a space debris cleaning robot developed by China Aerospace Scienceand Technology Corporation. He developed the robotic treatment couch for proton/heavy-ion radiotherapy, which has ensured preciseness in determining positions during radiationtreatments.
